My Blessed Destination
My Declaration of Faith:
Today, I remind myself that I may not be able to stop emotions like sadness, anger, or frustration from showing up, but I can decide whether or not I let them stay. I don’t have to board every emotional train that pulls into my station.
When bitterness calls out, “All aboard!”
When disappointment waves its flag…
When self-pity invites me in with open arms…I get to say, “No thanks. I’m not going that way.”
I’ve got a better destination.
Mine is peace.
Mine is joy.
Mine is wholeness, abundance, and victory.
God didn’t create me to live life controlled by every emotional wave that crashes in. He gave me power through His Spirit to choose differently. The Word says,
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23, NIV)
That means I can take responsibility for what I allow in. I can choose joy over offense, peace over worry, and gratitude over negativity. Even when hard things happen—and they will—I’m not alone in this. I hold on to what Philippians 4:7 (ESV) promises:
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
So today, I’m not giving my emotions the steering wheel. I’m choosing to walk by faith, not by feelings. I will focus on what’s right, on who God is, and on all the good that’s still in front of me. My destination is blessed, and by His grace, I’m staying on course.
Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You that even when negative emotions rise up, they don’t have to control me. Help me to recognize when I’m being pulled off track and give me the strength to say no to anything that steals my peace or joy. I choose today to fix my eyes on You and trust that my destination is full of goodness. Thank You that Your peace is my anchor and that You are always leading me toward victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
