“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,

who gives generously to all without finding fault,

and it will be given to you.”

James 1:5

Have you ever felt hesitant to approach God after you messed up? Maybe you just lost your temper, argued with a friend or loved one, or made a decision you regret. It’s easy to feel weighed down by guilt and shame, thinking God must be disappointed or angry with you. But here’s the truth: God doesn’t see you the way you see yourself when you’ve failed. He sees you through the lens of love and grace.

James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” This verse tells us that God never holds your mistakes against you. When you ask Him for anything—wisdom, strength, or forgiveness—He gives it freely and without judgment.

God wants you to feel safe and confident in coming to Him, even when you’ve fallen short. He wants to remind you that all condemnation and judgment for your sins were placed on Jesus at the cross. When Jesus died and rose again, He did so to free you from guilt and shame once and for all.

Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” God invites you to come boldly to Him, not with fear, but with confidence. He wants to restore you, remind you of His love, and help you grow.

No matter how many times you fall, God is always ready to welcome you back with open arms. He sees you as His beloved son or daughter, fully forgiven and loved because of what Jesus did for you. So come to Him as you are, knowing that He finds no fault in you. His love never fails, and He is always ready to give you grace and help whenever you need it.
