In 1999, The Matrix introduced audiences to a vision of the future that still captivates 25 years later. Morpheus explains to Neo that humanity’s creation of artificial intelligence led to a machine-dominated world, where humans are unknowingly enslaved within a simulated reality. While our present-day AI is far less cinematic, even today’s “mundane” tools—chatbots, image generators, and virtual assistants—have the power to subtly shape how we perceive reality.
We’re living in a moment unlike any before it. Artificial Intelligence—once just a sci-fi idea—is now part of our daily lives. It helps us shop, communicate, and even create. Most of us use it without a second thought.
When we think about sharing the Gospel today, it’s easy to imagine preaching, handing out tracts, or leading Bible studies. But as Paul demonstrated in Acts 17, effective evangelism often involves creativity—meeting people where they are and using culturally relevant methods to connect. Paul didn’t lecture Athens on its ignorance; he observed, listened, and wove the truth of Christ into a message that resonated with the local culture.
