My Declaration of Faith:

There was a time Peter stood before Jesus and said, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.” I get that. I’ve felt unworthy too. Like my flaws disqualified me from being used by God. But Jesus didn’t walk away from Peter, and He doesn’t walk away from me either. Instead, He calls me closer.

Peter’s story didn’t end with his shame. He learned to stop focusing on what he wasn’t and started receiving what God said he was. And that same Peter, the one who once felt unworthy, was the one God chose to boldly preach on the day the Church was born.

I’m learning to shift my mindset, too. My faith doesn’t grow by highlighting my flaws or replaying my mistakes. My strength comes when I receive who God says I am.

Ephesians 2:10 tells me, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” And in Isaiah 43:25, God says, “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.”

So today, I received His approval. I receive His mercy. I receive His favor.

I speak it out loud:

“Lord, I thank You that I am not who I used to be. I am a masterpiece, forgiven and fully equipped. Your mercy is greater than my mistakes. I am redeemed, restored, and anointed. I am not weak, I am strong in the Lord. I am not a failure, I am a rock You’re building something eternal on.”

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for not defining me by my past, my flaws, or my feelings. Thank You for seeing the potential in me long before I saw it in myself. Today, I choose to stop shrinking back in shame and start standing in Your strength. I receive Your approval, mercy, and favor. Use me today to walk in boldness, to speak life, and to step fully into who You’ve called me to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.
