My Declaration of Faith:

I may be facing battles today that didn’t start with me, but they will end with me. I recognize that patterns like anger, addiction, depression, or broken relationships may have flowed through my family line, but they no longer have the final say over my life. I’m not bound by what came before me, I’m anchored in who I am now: a child of the Most High God.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, NIV)

I refuse to settle for dysfunction as normal. I won’t carry the weight of what Jesus already carried to the cross for me. I choose to believe what God says, that I am free, restored, and made new. I am not a slave to old cycles. I am not trapped by what ran through my family. By God’s grace, Jesus is the one who breaks the chain. It stops here. It stops with me.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1, ESV)

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for calling me out of darkness and into freedom. Thank You that the blood of Jesus breaks every stronghold and generational curse. I declare that Your power is shattering cycles of pain and dysfunction in my life. Help me walk boldly in the freedom You’ve given me and leave a new legacy of hope, peace, and purpose. This ends with me, and a new beginning starts today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
