My Small Actions Make a Big Difference
My Declaration of Faith:
Some days, it feels like I’m just going through the motions: working, caring for my family, encouraging someone, doing what needs to be done. But today I remind my heart: none of it is wasted. God sees every single thing I do, even when no one else does.
Jesus said, “If anyone gives you even a cup of water in My name… that person will certainly not lose their reward” (Mark 9:41, NLT). That tells me that my smallest acts of kindness, done with love, hold eternal value. A smile. A kind word. Checking in on a friend. Staying faithful when it’s hard. These things matter deeply.
I’m building something, slowly, quietly, faithfully. Each small decision to obey, to serve, to love—that’s legacy at work. Scripture reminds me, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58, CSB).
Even when it feels unseen, I believe there’s a ripple effect. Just like the butterfly’s wings that can shift the atmosphere halfway across the world, my consistent faithfulness, though small, can spark miracles I’ll never fully see this side of heaven. That’s why I won’t give up. I won’t let the enemy lie to me and call my efforts insignificant. My obedience is powerful. My quiet love is sowing seeds for something greater.
So today, I’ll keep showing up with excellence and love. God sees. God rewards. And God is using my life to make a difference far beyond what I can imagine.
Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for reminding me that nothing I do for You is ever wasted. Even the smallest act, when done in love and obedience, has weight in eternity. Help me stay faithful in the everyday, to keep planting seeds even when I don’t see immediate results. Strengthen me to live with quiet courage and purpose, knowing You’re using every moment to shape lives, shift atmospheres, and carry out Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
