“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing;

therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”

Deuteronomy 30:19

Since the time God created the first man and woman, He has given them a part of His divine inheritance, and that is to make their own choices.  Unfortunately, they chose to make a path that caused the downfall of all mankind. Despite their mistake, God made a solution for the entire race of mankind to be restored into fellowship with the Father through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Now, God wants us to abide in that fellowship so we can experience the promise of the abundant life. For us to receive that promise, we must again make our own choice to have it. God never was a dictator, and He will never force anyone to believe in him or accept Him. But to the ones who have received His invitation of salvation, they have known what true life is all about.

If you are right now wondering why you are here and why you are who you are, then don’t wonder anymore. Today, God still opens His loving arms toward you, and He wants you to have everything that He has already prepared for you, even before you were born. He wants to give you health, prosperity, purpose in life, and a future for you. But again, the choice is yours to accept these things from Him or not. The devil wants to fully convince you that God will never give these things to a wretched sinner like you because you don’t deserve them. Indeed, you don’t deserve a single blessing from Him. But the real truth is, He wants to give these blessings to you anyway. Why? Because of a simple but profound truth: He loves you too much. The Scripture said that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for our sins. Now, Christ has done His part in dying for your sins so that he could give you eternal life. But it is down to your choice to receive what He has done for you. If you are willing to choose to receive this eternal gift from Him, say this prayer: “Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and I have fallen from grace because of my sins. But right now, I recommit my life over to You, Jesus, and accept You as my Lord and Savior. I repent from my sins and renounce all the deeds of the devil in my life. I ask that You cleanse me by Your blood and heal me by Your stripes. I ask that You fill me with the Holy Spirit. I believe and receive the abundant life You have prepared for me as I walk in the newness of life, in Jesus’ name.”

Now that you have become a new creature in Christ by making your own choice to choose life, you are entitled to receive all that Christ has promised for you. Soon, you will come to realize that this is one choice you’re glad you made.
