“We know that whoever is born of God does not sin;
but he who has been born of God keeps himself,
and the wicked one does not touch him.”
1 John 5:18
With all the unsettling news in the world today, people are searching for security. Everywhere you go, security measures are increasing—airports, schools, government buildings—all to guard against unseen threats. Fear seems to be everywhere. People worry about terrorist attacks, deadly viruses, natural disasters, and economic downturns. The world is constantly on edge, but as believers, we are called to a different kind of security—one that is found in God alone.
The Bible tells us not to fear sudden terror or to be afraid of what others fear. “Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4). God is always watching over His children, providing round-the-clock protection. If you are in a covenant relationship with Him, you are never alone. He has assigned His angels to guard you and keep you from harm. “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:11-12). In other words, you are under 24/7 divine surveillance, protected by the all-seeing, ever-loving God.
I have personally experienced God’s protection in my life. There were times on the road when He kept me from serious accidents. I remember driving home one night when, out of nowhere, a road barrier appeared in the middle of the freeway. At the last second, I swerved and avoided it. I knew it wasn’t just my reflexes—it was God’s grace and His angels shielding me from danger.
The enemy wants to fill our hearts with fear, but fear has no power over a child of God. The presence of God in your life is greater than any threat or danger you might face. No demon, no scheme of the enemy, and no unexpected crisis can take you out of God’s hands. His presence alone is enough to give you supernatural security and peace, even in chaos. So, instead of living in fear, stand in faith. Declare God’s promises over your life. Trust that He is watching over you and your loved ones. He is the God who never sleeps, never takes His eyes off you, and never fails to keep His word. No matter what happens in the world, you are safe in His care. “The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand.” (Psalm 121:5). Rest in His protection today!
