And delivers them out of all their troubles.”

Psalm 34:17

What do you think people normally do if they get into a jam? They would immediately panic. They would fall into a trap of worrying about the situation and wondering how they would ever get out of it. This is the natural reaction of the flesh, and it doesn’t get you anywhere. The word of God even says that the flesh profits nothing, for it is the Spirit that quickens. You see, all the flesh could ever do in a time of crisis is to relate itself to past experiences to try to figure out a way to get out of that problem. But if it is something it has never faced before, it goes into a fear-paralyzing mode of not knowing what to do.

But as a born-again child of God, you have another way of getting out of your jam. It is by putting your trust in the Holy Spirit, who is your designated Helper and Friend, who is always ready to help you and who already has the solution for you even before you get into that jam. But the first thing you have to do is to allow Him to help you. You see, the Holy Spirit doesn’t force Himself on you. He is an absolute gentleman. He waits until you are ready to permit Him to help you. But if you make a wise decision for Him to help you, He can come into where you are and assist you out of that mess.

Since the beginning, the Holy Spirit, who is God, has had the power to transform your adversity into creativity. You might say, How could that be possible? How could God take my messed-up life and change it to something better? Well, I’ll tell you that God can do anything if you don’t put your limitations on Him. When God created the earth, it was without form and in darkness, and then the Holy Spirit came and manifested light into being and brought all sorts of life into the dead world. The eyes of flesh will always see limitations in everything, but the eyes of the Spirit are the eyes of faith that see the unlimited ability of God to pull you out of any troubles.

That is why David is so confident in the ability of God, rather than his own, to help him out of any situation, despite all the troubles he had to face before becoming the King of Israel. David learned to trust in his God to be there for him when no one else could. God is a creative God, and He has 1001 ways to help straighten your life out. However, He chose one way, and that was by giving His beloved Son, Jesus, for you. Through Jesus, you can do all things who strengthens you. At the same time, God has placed inside of you a creative faith of the Holy Spirit’s anointing upon your life that, if you yield to Him amid adversity, He will help you come out of it victoriously!
