God Got You
“He spreads out the northern skies over empty space;
he suspends the earth over nothing.”
Job 26:7
You may feel like you are out of control and that your life is in chaos. You may feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster and contemplating ways to try to get off this endless cycle of defeat and insecurity. On top of this, you are bombarded with negative news of school shootings, increased violence on the streets, the market crash, economic collapse, and wars in foreign countries. Your heart is full of worries and anxieties, not knowing what your future will hold or how you can even hold together to provide for your family altogether. Your mind is filled with all kinds of fears that you thought you had already dealt with in the past, but they are coming back again like a flood to drown you.
First of all, take a moment to sit back, relax, and take a breath. The good news is that God has foreseen all of the negative events from the beginning of creation until now and even up to the return of His Son, Jesus, shortly. He knows what is shaking you up emotionally, inside your mind, and heart. He knows how to sustain you and keep you in His supernatural peace in the uncertainty of life. It is because God got you. He always has, and He always will hold you safely in the palm of His hand.
The very final words of Jesus before he died on the cross of Calvary were when he called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. (Luke 23:46-47) Throughout his life, Jesus always committed his ways unto His Father, who is your heavenly Father. No matter what challenges Jesus may have faced in his entire lifespan on the earth, he knew his heavenly Father always had him in His peace, love, and protection. Until the time came, when Jesus has to faced the brutality of the religious people, the wild mob who were against him, the Romans soldiers who were crucifying him and to the point of abandonment of his own Heavenly Father at the cross as he took upon the sins of the world for you and I. Even unto death, Jesus committed himself to the love of God.
Today, regardless of what you have to deal with in front of you, know fully well that God got you exactly where you are. As you commit your life in His loving hands, your faith in His comforting words, and your trust in His infinite abilities to provide, protect, and deliver you from any negative circumstance or situation, you will see His mighty hand work on your behalf to advance you further than you could imagine. If God can suspend the very earth over nothing in the vastness of space, God can hold your life up and take you up higher than you can ever think possible.
