Dare to Ask Big
“Ask, and it will be given to you.”
Matthew 7:7
What would you ask God for if you truly believed that He is good and His love for you never fails? Take a moment to reflect on that. What are the deepest desires of your heart—your dreams, your hopes, your needs? God invites you to come before Him with boldness and ask! The Bible tells us in James 4:2, “You do not have because you do not ask God.” So often, we hold back our prayers, thinking they are too big or that God wouldn’t be interested in the details of our lives. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Jesus Himself said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). He delights in your prayers and wants you to come to Him with faith.
Take some time today to write down your requests to God. Don’t limit yourself. What do you want to see happen in your life? In your family, your health, your finances, and your future? Write with faith, knowing that God hears you and loves you. Now, let me challenge you: don’t just ask God for small things. Ask Him for BIG things! If you need a job, don’t just ask for any position—ask for one where you can thrive, influence, and grow. If you’re praying for healing, don’t just ask to get better—ask for complete restoration and a life full of health and vitality. Our God is a big God, and He is pleased when we trust Him for more than we can see.
Think about who God is. This is the same God who:
• Led His people with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night.
• Provided manna from heaven and water from a rock.
• Turned water into wine at a wedding feast.
• Made the lame walk, the blind see, and the deaf hear.
• Multiplied a small lunch to feed thousands.
• Conquered sin and death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This is the God who loves YOU with everlasting love. He is not limited. He is not overwhelmed by your requests. He is able to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20). So, dare to ask. Dare to believe. Take time right now—yes, in this very moment—to write down what you need from God. Pour out your heart to Him. Dream big. Pray bold prayers. And as you do, trust that He is already at work, aligning things in your favor and preparing blessings beyond what you can comprehend. God loves you, and He is delighted when you come to Him with faith. So don’t hesitate. Dare to ask big!
