I’m Possible
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe,
all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23
Believe. What does it take to believe that God will pull you out of that financial chaos? Or for you to believe that God can heal that incurable sickness. To believe that God changes a person’s life. Believing in this scripture means the conviction and trust that a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of the soul. Simply put, to believe is to be completely persuaded in your mind that God is going to do exactly what His Word says that He is going to do. To believe is to have total confidence that God is the God of the impossible.
When I was about to marry my beautiful wife, I was a new kid on the block in the city of Las Vegas, with no bank account attached to my name and no job. On top of that, I was living with a pastor who is a widow, and I couldn’t keep up with my rent. But I know that I wanted to marry this woman. So what did I do? I did what any desperate man of faith would do: I prayed. I knew in my heart that God would take care of me and that He would provide for me. I didn’t know how He would do it, nor did I try to figure it out on my own. I just trusted and believed in Him since He is my heavenly Father who would never lie to me. Soon enough, He opened a door for me to get a new job and provided a new bank account with money in it! Every step of the way, God pulled me through, and He even provided for both of us, pre-newlyweds, a brand new house before I even said, “I do.” Glory to God!
Then, several months after we were happily married, the Lord reminded me of the scripture that said something like, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27) He whispered into my heart and said, “Through your impossible, I’m Possible.” Then, I realized by revelation that God is the God of infinite possibilities. There is absolutely nothing impossible that God can’t do in any area of my life. All things are possible to anyone who believes that He is the I’m Possible God. From that time on, I saw that there is nothing that I would ever face in this life that God couldn’t help me overcome.
Today, God is able, and He is capable of doing what He promised in His Word that He would do and much more than you can ever imagine. As you spend time with God and in His Word, you will grow to know that He is the “I’m Possible.”
