“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 46:10

What are you expecting God to do for you today? Do you truly believe He will answer? Do you trust that He can change your situation? Can He still do the impossible? No matter where your faith stands, you can still believe that God is able to do exceedingly more than you ask or imagine.

In the Bible, a man named Jairus came to Jesus in desperation. His daughter was on the verge of death, and he pleaded with Jesus to come to his house and lay hands on her so she would be healed. “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” (Mark 5:23) Now, did Jesus really need to go all the way to Jairus’ house to heal his daughter? No! Jesus could have simply spoken a word, and she would have been healed from a distance. But instead of correcting Jairus’ limited faith, Jesus met him where he was. He went with him, and despite interruptions along the way, Jesus arrived, took the girl by the hand, and raised her from the dead. (Mark 5:41-42)

Compare this with another story—a Roman centurion whose servant was suffering at home. Unlike Jairus, this man recognized Jesus’ power and authority, and he told Jesus, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” (Matthew 8:8) Jesus was amazed at the centurion’s faith and told him, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” (Matthew 8:13) That very moment, the servant was healed. Both Jairus and the centurion had faith, but at different levels. Jairus needed Jesus to physically come, while the centurion only needed Jesus to speak. Yet, Jesus honored both of them. This shows that there is no minimum level of faith you must reach before God moves in your life. Your faith doesn’t initiate God’s goodness—He has already given you “all things that pertain to life and godliness.” (2 Peter 1:3) His blessings are already pressing in on you!

So stop worrying about whether your faith is big enough. Instead, fix your eyes on Jesus—the One who loves you, who has already made a way for you. When you come to Him, simply believe that He is ready to meet your expectations. Jesus is speaking over you today: “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” So what do you believe He can do? Trust Him. Even if your faith feels small, He is still faithful. He will meet you right where you are. Keep believing. Keep expecting. Because your miracle is already in motion!
