I Take My Seat and Reign with Jesus

My Declaration of Faith:

Today, I remind myself that I don’t have to struggle to qualify for God’s blessings through my own efforts. His Word says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). If my salvation—the greatest miracle of all—comes by grace and not by my performance, how much more the daily blessings of healing, provision, and restoration?

It’s not about what I can do, but about what Jesus has already done. His work is a finished work. The Bible says that God “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). That means I have a seat beside Him, not because I earned it, but because He gave it. Sitting with Jesus is my posture of faith—it means I can rest in what He has already accomplished for me.

This doesn’t make me lazy or careless. On the contrary, His grace strengthens me to do more than I ever could in my own strength, just as Paul declared, “I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10). I don’t work to be blessed; I work with joy and diligence because I am already blessed.

So today, I choose to take my seat in Christ. I choose to rest in His finished work, to stop striving for what He has already secured, and to live from a place of victory, not toward it.

Prayer for Today:

Lord Jesus, thank You for finishing the work on the cross and giving me a seat beside You. Teach me to rest in Your grace and stop relying on my own efforts. Fill me with Your Spirit so that everything I do today flows from the truth that I am already loved, already blessed, and already victorious in You. Amen.
