As we go through life, we will find ourselves faced with circumstances that may be overwhelming to us. It could be the death of someone close to us, a financial crisis, a severe health diagnosis, pressure at work, or people mistreating us. The list can go on and on. When negative things come against you unexpectedly, you may feel like God is one million miles away. You may think that He is oblivious to what you are dealing with, and you may be wondering why God may even allow such bad things to happen to you.

First of all, you must realize that every “bad thing” that occurs in your life is not the result of God causing it to happen to you. There are negative forces that are at work to destroy and bring your life to a standstill. Satan and his demons are the creators of the so-called “bad things” that are happening in your life. These dark forces have access to negative people or even the world’s resources to cause bad things to happen in your life, such as virus-related sicknesses, world economic recessions, natural disasters, negative news, and freak accidents.

The enemy of your soul wants you to feel weak and helpless when bad things come against you. It is during the times when you feel so defeated that God is so very close to you. During your darkest times, He is as close to you as the heartbeat of your heart is beating inside of your chest. God wants to remind you that He is still greater in you than all the bad and negative things that could ever happen in your life. Jesus died on the cross to bring about a permanent presence of God in your life, no matter what you are going through.

Today, you can overcome all these bad things not because you are strong or have the resources available to you, but because you have the Almighty God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Healer of all sicknesses and diseases, and the Conqueror of death and Hades living inside of you. God is greater than any sicknesses, diseases, financial difficulties, bad influencers, natural disasters, terrorism, or any weapons that Satan and his demons might try to throw at you or your loved ones.  Negative things do not change who you are in Christ, because until this day, you are who you are by the grace of God. You belong to Him, and you have overcome them all, because Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit, who is in you, is greater than he who is in the world. His love for you is greater than every other fear that can be found in the world to give you peace and victory over every problematic case you must face.
