My Declaration of Faith:
I declare today that I am firmly planted in the house of the Lord. Just like the mighty redwoods in California, trees that tower above the earth and withstand fierce storms because their roots are intertwined with one another, my life is rooted in God’s presence and connected to the family of faith. On my own, the winds of life may try to knock me down, but when I am joined with others in Christ, I cannot be shaken.
“Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”
And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
Revelation 21:5
Life can feel overwhelming. Every day is filled with stress, noise, and responsibilities that seem never-ending. Maybe your “normal” right now is trying to balance school, work, and family. Maybe it’s worrying about your finances, dealing with difficult relationships, or feeling stuck in a routine that drains you. Whatever your normal looks like today, there’s good news—God has a new normal for you. No matter what you’re facing, Jesus is the solid Rock you can stand on. The world offers empty promises, quick fixes, and distractions, but God’s Word is different.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you
are not under the law, but under grace.”
Romans 6:14
Sin. It is a door to the cursed life. A life without God. A life without His grace. A life separated from God’s presence. Sin means to miss the mark or go astray from the path of uprightness and honor, or to wander and break God’s law. Adam opened the door for sin to enter and destroy all that God had promised him when he disobeyed God’s commandment of love. You see, God didn’t suggest that Adam not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; He commanded Adam. Is it because God was hiding or holding something back from Adam?
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”
Psalm 91:14
The past has a way of holding on, making you feel like you can never escape it. Maybe you come from a broken family, struggled with addiction, or made mistakes that still haunt you. No matter where you go, those memories creep back in, reminding you of who you used to be. You might try to distract yourself—changing your surroundings, finding new people, numbing the pain with entertainment, or even medication. But deep inside, the weight of your past can leave you feeling abandoned, unworthy, and hopeless.
“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—
For your love is better than wine.”
Song of Solomon 1:2
The worst place that you want your faith to be is in a state of complacency. Complacency is an instance of contented self-satisfaction or not wanting to know what God wants you to do next. It can also be known as a spiritual rut. If you are not careful, complacency can sneak into your life and choke the power of your faith. So, how do you keep yourself from falling into the entrapment of complacency?
“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you.”
Deuteronomy 31:8
There will be moments in life when you feel unsure about what is going to happen in your future. Especially when you may have recently lost a job, a business you poured your heart and soul into, and even a loved one. Your insecurity about the future can lead to a flood of fearful thoughts surging through your mind. You may have questions like, How am I going to survive? What will happen to me and my family now? How am I going to make it?
My Declaration of Faith:
Psalm 91 reminds me of God’s promise: “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (Psalm 91:16). That means it is God’s will for me to live not just a long life, but a good, healthy, and satisfying one.

Some days it feels like the odds are stacked against me, that the challenges are too great, or that I don’t have what it takes. But the truth is, I am not an underdog. God is for me, and that changes everything. “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
My Declaration of Faith:
When Jesus went to the cross, He didn’t just die for my sins; He also carried my sickness, my pain, and my infirmities. His resurrection sealed the victory, and my healing was finished once and for all. “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows… and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4–5).
My Declaration of Faith:
So much of the battle I face each day happens in my mind. Negative thoughts try to creep in: thoughts of fear, failure, or worst-case scenarios. But I don’t have to let those lies take root. God’s Word reminds me that “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16).
