My Declaration of Faith:

Today, I remind my soul: my Father’s heart is full of love toward me, always. His grace isn’t based on how well I perform or how “pure” my intentions are. Just like the prodigal son, I’ve had moments when I came back to God not out of love, but because I was empty, desperate, and hungry. And still, He ran toward me.

It wasn’t the son’s perfect apology that moved the father. It was the father’s love that had been waiting all along. That’s how God loves me: eagerly, unconditionally, and without hesitation. Before I even get the words out, He’s already embracing me.

“This is real love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:10)

I don’t have to earn my way back into His presence. He’s already made the way through Jesus. I confess my failures. not to be forgiven, but because I am forgiven. My heart responds to His grace. I’m not trying to impress Him with perfect words or actions. I’m resting in the truth that through Jesus, I am already made righteous.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20)

God doesn’t want religious performance; He wants a relationship. And the beauty of it all? He provides everything I need through His Son. Righteousness. Forgiveness. Acceptance. He’s not demanding perfection, He’s offering it in Jesus. So even on my worst days, I don’t have to run from God. I run to Him. And when I do, I find that He’s already running toward me.

Prayer for Today:
Father, thank You for loving me far beyond what I deserve. Thank You that Your grace chases me down, even when I’ve gone the wrong way. Help me live today from a place of knowing that I’m fully accepted, fully forgiven, and deeply loved, not because of what I’ve done, but because of what Jesus has done for me. I receive Your embrace and rest in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
