I Forgive Myself in ChristDaily Declaration of Faith

I Forgive Myself in Christ

My Declaration of Faith:

I know I’ve made mistakes. I’ve stumbled, fallen short, and done things I wish I could take back. But I also know this, that God has forgiven me. His Word says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). If the God of heaven has already washed me clean, then I don’t have to keep punishing myself for what He has erased.

Too often, I’ve replayed the past, carrying labels that don’t belong to me anymore, such as failure, unworthy, and not enough. But the truth is, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). That means I don’t have to live under guilt or shame. Today, I choose to forgive myself in Christ. I choose to walk in the freedom and grace Jesus died to give me. I am redeemed, restored, and deeply loved.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for Your mercy that covers me each time I fall. Thank You that in Christ, my sins are forgiven and forgotten. Today, I let go of shame, regret, self-condemnation, and every label that doesn’t come from You. I receive Your love, Your freedom, and Your hope for my future. Help me to see myself the way You see me: clean, whole, and new. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
