George Washington Carver was the son of a slave mother and a father he never knew. Carver and his mother were kidnapped by a band of roving thugs, who carried them off to the South. Although he was later found and returned to his birthplace, Carver’s mother was never located, and he was forever separated from the only parent he ever knew. Despite his rough upbringing, Carver had a special relationship with his God. Carver would arise regularly at four o’clock in the morning and go into the woods and talk with God. There, God gives Carver his orders for the day. There, in the private meeting in the woods, God revealed to Carver the secrets of nature and His purpose for his life. Carver was destined to become one of the most cherished scientists, chemists, and professors of the 20th century. Most highly celebrated for his discovery of the varied uses of the peanut plant, of which he listed over 300.

So, if you are wondering what God’s plans are for your own life, take the time to go into your secret place of meeting with Him. Set a scheduled private meeting with your Maker and Lord of your life. It could be at the beach, at the park, in a library, in your car, or your closet. As you obtain divine counsel with the Counselor of your soul, you will be bound to receive the wisdom nuggets of your heavenly Father, who desires to lead you to your awesome destiny in life. So, go ahead and talk to Him and hear His grand master plan for your life today.
